BOT & PTA

At Tinwald School, our Board of Trustees (BOT) and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) play vital roles in supporting our students and community.

The BOT provides strategic leadership, while the PTA fosters collaboration between home, school, and community through fundraising and events. Together, they ensure our school thrives, enhancing student opportunities and experiences. Joining the PTA or engaging with the BOT is a fantastic way to contribute and stay connected to your child’s education.

Meet The Tinwald School Board of Trustees

Every three years, we roll out the red carpet for our school community elections! Five parent-elected trustees and one staff-elected trustee join our Board for a three-year adventure in guiding Tinwald School.

Join the Tinwald School PTA: Get Involved, Make a Difference, and Have Fun!

Our PTA is your ticket to being more involved in your child’s school life. It’s a fantastic way to stay in the loop, give your feedback, and support school activities and initiatives.

Plus, it’s a great way to meet other parents (did we mention we also have regular social nights out!?).

“Involved parents understand school challenges and become part of the solution, improving student achievement and the school’s reputation in the community.”

Since 1993, our PTA has been fostering cooperation and communication between home, school, and the community. We’re the bridge to the Board of Trustees, supporting school activities and raising funds for must-have resources.

What we do

Fundraising Heroes:

Recently, our PTA raised $45,000 for a new shaded outdoor lunch area for our Tamariki.
Our PTA is also responsible for running regular school fundraisers such as;

  • Halloween Disco
  • Colour Run
  • Pizza Lunches
  • BBQ at MC Hunting Competition
  • Quiz nights
  • Other fave fundraisers such as Cookie Time and Baker Boy Croissants!

We meet monthly during the school year and love welcoming new members. Meetings are open to all.

Get involved with the Tinwald School PTA and make a positive impact on your child’s school experience. We can’t wait to see you at our next meeting!
