Our Learning
Join us at Tinwald School, where we blend developmental stages with digital advancement to nurture your child’s growth and success.
At Tinwald School, we understand that children grow through developmental stages at their own pace. Our curriculum includes key stages of childhood development as a reference, acknowledging that these are broad guidelines.

We have established crucial benchmarks at the end of Years 2, 4, and 6 to track progress & achievement.
The First 2 Years
In the initial years, children transition from preschool to school, learning to understand symbols, language, and text through concrete materials and developmental activities. Digital technologies are introduced to aid their understanding and reflection on learning.
The Middle 2 Years
During the middle years, children consolidate basic knowledge and skills, using digital technology more independently. They begin to reflect more on their learning processes.
The Final 2 Years
In the final years, children exhibit high levels of independence, using higher-order thinking and enquiry-based learning. They effectively utilise a range of digital technologies to understand, create, and document their learning. Classrooms are tailored to meet the specific developmental needs of children at each stage.
